Air-DDO Broadcasting Tool Replaces CartStack for Playlist Management

Medi1-RadioCLARET, France - July 10, 2012 - NETIA, a leading software manufacturer of media asset management and radio automation solutions, today announced that Medi 1 Radio will go live by the end of 2012 with NETIA's Air-DDO, the broadcasting module of Radio-AssistTM 8 automation system. Medi 1 will use Air-DDO to replace its existing CartStack on-air system for broadcast operations with an optimized workflow and increased automation.

Medi 1, a NETIA user for almost fifteen years, has been using Radio-Assist for production and scheduling since the station moved from analog to digital in 1998. The Tangier-based station was the first Radio-Assist customer outside Europe, and its adoption of Radio-Assist 8 and the Air-DDO broadcast module is the latest milestone in its continuing quest to deliver high-quality multi-lingual radio services to audiences across the region.

The Radio-AssistTM 8 Air-DDO broadcast module is the result of several years of research and reflection and focuses as much on the ergonomic level as on the technological. Spread over two monitor screens, Air-DDO's GUI displays simultaneously the four broadcast channels as well as access to numerous help and preparation tools including on-air monitoring, playlist modification, track editing, recording sounds, and more.
