Equipped with a broad range of tools for end-to-end multimedia workflows, the acclaimed Radio-Assist 8 software suite extends beyond traditional broadcasting by streamlining the preparation and publication of media. Radio-Assist 8 also optimizes the management of associated metadata and linked media and gives instant access to all types of media, archived or online. It then allows items to be previewed and restored for repurposing and distribution. The pairing of Radio-Assist 8 with NETIA Workflow Engine empowers media groups to manage and share video, audio, images, and text throughout their entities, optimizing the overall life cycle of their content.
The NETIA Workflow Engine is an open system that choreographs, visually represents, and then executes processes or workflows to provide a faster and more direct interface between Radio-Assist 8 and other applications. In managing these interfaces, the NETIA Workflow Engine increases performance of tasks such as transcoding, audio extraction, speech-to-text transcription, archiving, and publishing in a transparent, highly automated process. In publishing, for example, the NETIA Workflow Engine can automatically deliver content from Radio-Assist to the right distribution platforms (Internet, VOD, mobile services, and IPTV) in the right formats, all at the press of a button. Likewise, the system can automate the movement of audio and video between Radio-Assist 8 and HSM (hierarchical storage management) systems; automate the sharing of push/pull content between different sites or platforms; or automate the ingest of incoming content from other sources and partners.
